The YMBU Regional Gastronomy was created to be a restaurant that offers the best of the

regional gastronomy of the Northeast, in a pleasant atmosphere, created by the architect Rodrigo Gurgel.

The YMBU offers the lunch option with varied buffet service of regional delights

(without, however, forgetting the international flavors), and delicious sweets. In the late afternoon

and evening the YMBU offers excellent snacks and drinks, and delicious tapiocas.

 

For dinner, the a la carte service features dishes created by the renowned Chefs Lima and Valdir,

as well as fantastic desserts.

The name YMBU (tupi version of imbu or umbu), is a tribute to two remarkable trees of the Northeast:

the imbuzeiro, that produces the delicious imbu fruit, called by Euclides da Cunha in "Os Sertões",

the "sacred tree of the sertão", Which feeds the sertaneja with its fruits and in the dry it stores

in its roots water that relieves the thirst of the sertanejas and their animals.

And it also honors imburana, whose wood is the raw material

of the santeiros of the Northeast for their sculptures.
